The franchisee’s right, title and interest in the franchise may be sold, transferred, assigned or otherwise encumbered without the prior consent of the franchising authority; provided, however, that the successor, transferee or assignee of the franchisee shall provide notice of its intent to accept the franchise and to comply with the terms and provisions of this chapter within 30 days after the date of the completed transfer.
