No person shall cover any private on-site sewage system or any part thereof unless he or she first obtains written approval from the Health Officer. No person shall place a private on-site sewage system into operation without first obtaining written approval for such operation from the Health Officer. The Health Officer shall be allowed to inspect the work at any stage of construction. The applicant for the construction permit shall notify the Health Officer when the work is ready for final inspection and before any underground portions are covered. The Health Officer shall make the inspection within two working days of the receipt of notice from the applicant. Efforts will be made to inspect on the day requested if the requests are received before 10:00 a.m. the day of inspection and completion will occur during normal Health Department working hours.
