This chapter shall not apply to: the sale of any property under legal process or under the terms of a mortgage by the mortgagee or his or her assigns; sales by executors, administrators, guardians, trustees or receivers acting under orders of court; sales by or on behalf of pawnbrokers of unredeemed pledges; warehousemen or garage keepers to enforce their liens for labor and materials on the chattels so exposed for sale; any other lien; goods sold as provided by law to enforce any lien thereon; sales made by public officers in the line of their duties; sales of household goods for the actual owner thereof, who is not a dealer therein; sales of real estate.
