§ 94.087 INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE CHARGES.
   (A)   The city’s Fire Department may connect and maintain the fire alarm signaling system, of whatever nature, between a master box and the central alarm at the Communication Center. The following charges are to be paid by the person, firm or corporation on whose premises a master box is located or who otherwise receives fire alarm or burglar alarm system services from the city.
      (1)   An installation charge of $200 which shall be paid by the owner of the master box at the time of installation (in addition to the cost of the box itself, which shall be the responsibility of the property owner or occupant). The replacement of 1 box by another under circumstances which do not require a new connection circuit to the Fire Department shall not result in a second installation charge.
      (2)   A maintenance charge of $150 each calendar year to be invoiced by the Fire Department to the owner or occupant on whose premises the box is located, to be paid on or before January 31 of each year. The maintenance charge for a fractional year, when a new box is installed during that year, shall be prorated and based on the number of full calendar months remaining in the calendar year, and shall be paid upon installation.
      (3)   A hook-up charge of $25 shall be paid by the owner of the burglar alarm system at the time of the connection of the private system to the central alarm system at the Communication Center.
      (4)   A monitoring fee of $200 per year shall be paid by the owners of the fire alarm systems and $200 per year shall be paid by the owners of burglar alarm systems that are connected to and monitored by the Communication Center. This basic fee shall entitle the owners of the system to 1 status contact and one control contact in the radio control master box. Any additional contacts that the owners of the fire or burglar alarm systems wish to utilize shall be charged at the rate of $10 per year per contact point. This fee shall be paid to the city’s Communication Center Fund on or before January 31 of every year. The monitoring fee for a fractional year shall be prorated and based on the number of full calendar months remaining in such calendar year, and shall be paid upon installation.
   (B)   Any charge set forth in division (A) above, which remains unpaid for a period of longer than 30 days after it is due shall require the Fire Department to disconnect the private alarm system from the city system.
