§ 50.15  METERS.
   (A)   The following provisions apply to customers of the Water Utility who would need a meter at their premises to accommodate a water supply line not exceeding 2 inches:
      (1)   The Water Utility shall furnish all meters up to and including a 2-inch meter at no charge to the customers. However, this does not apply to instances where a customer purchases a water meter for submetering purposes that are not regulated by the Utility.
      (2)   All meters, appliances and equipment furnished by the Water Utility shall remain the property of the Water Utility.
      (3)   Each customer shall protect such property from freezing and from loss or damage.
      (4)   Only a representative of the Water Utility shall be permitted to remove, repair, or replace such property.
   (B)   The following provisions apply to customers of the Water Utility who would need a meter at their premises to accommodate a water supply line exceeding 2 inches:
      (1)   Customers requesting a meter larger than 2 inches  are responsible for the installation, cost, proper maintenance and calibration of the meter and shall be subject to the same rules and regulations which govern the meters of the Water Utility.
      (2)   Customers shall purchase all meters larger than 2 inches from the Water Utility. The cost of the meter shall be determined as follows: the actual cost of the meter to the Water Utility, plus incoming shipping charges, plus a handling fee of up to 20% of the Water Utility's actual cost of the meter.
      (3)   The installation of the meter shall conform in all aspects to the standard meter installation details of the Water Utility.
