§ 156.112  FEE FOR REGISTRATION; BOND.
   Every applicant for a sewer contractor’s registration shall pay a fee of $50 for such a registration and the renewal fee shall be $25 payable to the city.  Each applicant shall furnish a bond with surety approved by the Controller of the city in the penal sum of $3,000, conditioned to reimburse the city for all damages caused by any act or omission by the sewer contractor or any of his or her agents, to any property which the city may own or for which it may be responsible, and to hold the city free and harmless from claims for damages on account of the negligence or misfeasance of the plumber and from all costs and expenses growing out of the defense of such claims.  The bond is to be in force from the date of its acceptance and shall expire at the end of the calendar year.  Both registration and bond must be renewed on or before January 10 of each successive year and shall expire at the end of the calendar year.  No other bond shall be required of the plumber by any other department of the city.
