(A) A fee shall be charged for each permit issued and shall be paid to the office of the Building Department. In determining the amount to be paid, the following shall count as 1 fixture each: water closet, bidet, bath tub, shower stall, hot tub, lavatory, sink, urinal, laundry tub, dishwasher, disposer, water heater, water softener, drinking fountain, open site drain, floor drain, water pump, washing machine connection, sewage ejector, sump pump, interceptor, backflow preventer, or any trap or opening into a soil or waste pipe roughed in for the future installation of any of the aforementioned fixtures. Other equipment or devices connected to either a supply of potable water or to a drain pipe, waste pipe, sewer or other means of waste removal, not otherwise named in this chapter shall have the permit fee based on the number of connections to a waste pipe. Yard hydrants and sillcocks are to be counted as 1 fixture for each instance in a given installation.
(B) Exception. Fees are waived for plumbing work done on city-owned properties.
