The Department shall operate under the supervision and approval of the City Board of Public Safety (“the Board”). The Mayor may appoint a Director of the Department to manage the activities of the Department, and the Board may appoint such other personnel as it may deem advisable. The Mayor may remove the Director in the Mayor’s discretion, and the Director or the Board may remove any other personnel in its discretion.
