(A) The emergency medical services restitution fee is a charge in addition to the actual charge to the user of ambulance or emergency medical services. Payment of the emergency medical services restitution fee does not relieve the user of the legal obligation to pay the user fee for emergency medical services nor does it release the defendant from restitution to the victim for actual expenses incurred by the victim.
(B) Payment of the emergency medical services restitution fee may be made a term of probation and enforced by the court as such. Further, the City Attorney is empowered to prosecute collection of this fee through civil litigation or any other means available in addition to enforcement as a term of probation.
