(A) (1) All installations of electrical equipment shall be reasonably safe to persons and property and in conformity with the provisions of this chapter and the applicable regulations of the state and all orders, rules and regulations issued by authority thereof.
(2) Unless specifically stated otherwise herein, all electrical installations covered by this chapter shall be in compliance with the Indiana Electrical Code, Title 675 I.A.C. Article 17, as the same are amended and adopted from time to time by the Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission pursuant to I.C. 22-13-2-2, except as otherwise provided for in this chapter.
(B) Conformity of installations of electrical equipment with the applicable regulations set forth in Title 675 I.A.C. 17, as the same are amended and adopted from time to time, shall be prima facie evidence that such installations are reasonably safe to persons and property.
(C) The Electrical Inspector shall permit trial installations of new methods of installing electrical equipment after the permits for such installations have been approved by the Board of Review and the Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission.
(D) Service equipment for buildings located in the 100-year flood plain area as determined by the Department of Zoning and Planning shall be located a minimum of 4 feet above finished grade level.
(E) The minimum size of electrical service that may be installed in a 1-family dwelling shall be of 100 amp capacity.
