(A) This code shall be administered and enforced by the Building Commissioner, who shall be appointed by the Mayor.
(B) Wherever they appear in this code, the phrases “Building Official,” “Building Commissioner” and “Commissioner of Buildings” shall be synonymous.
(C) The Building Commissioner is hereby authorized to administer and enforce the provisions of this code, the adopted code of building laws and orders issued under I.C. 22-13-2-11 and I.C. 22-12-7. Any variance from adopted building rules are subject to approval under I.C. 22-13-2-7(b).
