(A) Permits shall be required for the following activities and shall be issued by the Department in conformance with the provisions of the zoning regulations.
(B) Any permit issued shall become invalid if the authorized work is suspended or abandoned for a period of six months after the time of commencing the work.
(1) Construction permit. No building or other structure shall be erected, moved, added to or structurally altered, nor shall said activities be commenced without a construction permit.
(2) Demolition permit. No building or other structure shall be razed, demolished or removed, either entirely or in part, nor shall any of said activities be commenced without a demolition permit.
(3) Sign permit. No sign shall be created, erected, moved, added to or structurally altered except in accordance with standards contained in the zoning regulations, nor shall any of said activities be commenced without a permit.
(4) Permits authorized by the Board of Zoning Adjustment. The Department shall issue permits in conformance with the written direction and authorization of the Board of Zoning Adjustment concerning administrative review appeals, conditional use permits, variances or other actions as authorized in the zoning regulations.
