Before any permit shall be issued by the Chief of Police, the applicant shall provide satisfactory proof the person or persons applying for the permit or the chief officers or members of a firm if the agency is to be conducted by a corporation or partnership and all employees have sufficient training, education or experience to lawfully engage in private detective or security work. Disqualification from a permit solely because of a prior conviction of a crime shall be pursuant to KRS 335B.010 through 335B070.
