(A) The existing Civil Service system set forth in Ordinance 22-2019 and all amendments thereof, shall continue in full force and effect for all current (as of the effective date of Ordinance 24-2022) City of Elizabethtown Police and Fire Department employees currently covered by the Civil Service system.
(B) The existing Civil Service system set forth in Ordinance 22-2019 and all amendments thereof, is hereby discontinued and of no force and effect for new employees as of the effective date of Ordinance 24-2022, and all applicants, probationary or introductory of the city’s Police and Fire Departments with an effective date of October 1, 2022.
