Every law enforcement officer of the city shall, before entering upon the duties of his or her office, take and subscribe the oaths or affirmations as prescribed by G.S. § 11-11 and G.S. § 160A-61 before some officer authorized and empowered to administer oaths; and such oaths shall be filed and kept in the office of the City Clerk.
