(A) (1) The City Council shall from time to time adopt a schedule of rates to be charged by taxicabs for hauling passengers.
(2) The schedule of rates so fixed shall remain in effect until changed by the City Council. The schedule of rates shall be at all times prominently posted and displayed in such taxicab so as to be visible to the passengers therein, and a copy shall be filed in the office of the Chief of Police or Inspector of Taxicabs.
(B) No person shall charge or attempt to charge any passenger a greater fare than that to which the taxicab is entitled under the provisions of this chapter.
