(A) No person shall operate or cause to be operated his or her moped, as defined in G.S. § 105-164.3(22), or any other gasoline propelled contraption in any city park or recreational area or on property owned by the city other than on the public streets of the city. When operated on city public streets, mopeds shall be properly licensed by the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles However, nothing herein shall prohibit the use of city-owned equipment in the maintenance of such areas.
(B) No person shall operate or cause to be operated a moped or other gasoline propelled contraption at any place within the city after the hour of 9:30 p.m., except upon the public streets of the city.
