§ 52.26  SPECIFIC POLLUTANT LIMITATIONS.
Prohibitive limitations for specific pollutants are given below. In the event that discharge of pollutants with concentrations in excess of that enumerated below does not result in interference or in the inability of the local government to meet the objectives of this subchapter, then the local government may waive, in writing, all or a portion of the provisions of this section. The local government may require payment to cover the costs of handling and treating the pollutants in excess of these limitations. Having had a waiver at one time shall not eliminate the enforcement of these limits at the discretion of the local government when it is determined necessary. Additional toxic substances or other pollutants may be added to the list as needed to meet the objectives of this subchapter.
