921.06 SPRINKLING SYSTEM.
   (a)   An application for additional meter installation for sprinkling purposes must be made at the Village Town Hall, 406 E. Main Street, Elida, Ohio and approved by the Village Administrator.
   (b)   The customer shall purchase the meter, sending unit/recorder, meter pit, frame and lid, meter setter, and all associated fittings from the Village Water Department at current cost and have it installed by Water Department personnel at time and material costs. All sprinkler systems are required to have a backflow preventor ASSE 1013 Series 009 for residential services and a ASSE 1013 Series 909 and LF909 for commercial applications.
      (1)   The backflow preventor must be installed and tested by a certified backflow preventer tester on an annual basis with verification presented to the Village before turning the services on each season.
   (c)   The account will be subject to the service fee and storm water fee. Any repair necessary to meter will be at the customer’s expense and will be performed by the Village Water Department personnel.
   (d)   When property containing deduct meter transfers to a new owner, and the new owner chooses to continue using the Village Sprinkling Meter Program, they will be bound by all other rules and regulations contained in this section pertaining to deduct meters.
   (e)   The second meter will be used as a deduct meter to calculate monthly sewer charges. The meter will only be used for this purpose for a four (4) month period, May 15 through September 15 of each year. This meter will be subject to the current service fee where applicable.
