§ 91.36 DEAD ANIMAL DISPOSAL.
   (A)   Burial or disposal. Within 24 hours of death of an animal, the owner shall dispose of the carcass by burial at least three feet underground in a suitable location, or by other means approved by the Animal Control Authority.
   (B)   Disposal of dead animals by Animal Control Authority. At his or her discretion, the Animal Control Officer is authorized to pick up and dispose of all dead animals immediately upon discovery or notification. He or she is entitled to charge a reasonable fee established by the City Council for the services to the owner. The Animal Control Officer shall make reasonable efforts to notify the owner of the death of the animal.
   (C)   Dead animal removal on roads. Dead animals on city and county roads shall be removed by the Animal Control Authority upon notification.
   (D)   Request of removal of dead animals from private property. At the request of the owner, the Animal Control Officer may, at his or her own discretion, given the constraints of city resources, remove the carcass of dogs and cats from private property for a fee established by City Council.
