§ 91.33 IMPOUNDING.
   (A)   Stray animals may be impounded. An Animal Control Officer may detain and impound in the designated Animal Control Authority facility a stray or any animal kept or maintained contrary to the requirements of this chapter.
      (1)   The animal may be confined in accordance with the facility's regulations.
      (2)   The owner shall be responsible for all impound fees, boarding fees, and other costs whether or not the animal is reclaimed.
      (3)   Any stray which is not reclaimed and cannot be adopted may be euthanized in accordance with the impound facility's regulations.
   (B)   Nuisance animals may be impounded. An animal that continues to be an alleged nuisance may be impounded by the Animal Control Officer until the time as a judgment is made by the municipal court.
