§ 131.20  ASSAULT UPON PEACE OFFICER.
   (A)   It is unlawful for any person to commit assault upon a peace officer.
   (B)   Assault upon a peace officer consists of:
      (1)   An attempt to commit a battery upon the person of a peace officer while he or she is in the lawful discharge of his or her duties; or
      (2)   Any unlawful act, threat, or menacing conduct which causes a police officer while he or she is in the lawful discharge of his or her duties to reasonably believe is in danger of receiving an immediate battery.
