§ 131.02  BATTERY.
   It is unlawful for any person to beat, strike, wound, inflict violence, or apply force to the person of another in a rude, insolent, angry, or hostile manner, except in connection with an exhibition duly authorized and licensed under law, or in a lawful self-defense, or in the line of duty as duly authorized police officer as circumstances warrant. When an alleged victim and offender are household members, the offender may be arrested pursuant to § 131.23.
