(a) The subdivision streets within the Town of Eleanor may be either concreted or asphalted in accordance with the specifications set forth within this Article so long as the streets within each subdivision are either all concreted or all asphalted.
(b) If the streets within a subdivision are concreted, the streets must meet the following specifications:
(1) Must be twenty (20) feet wide and six (6) inches in depth;
(2) Must be reinforced with fiber compound, mesh or bar;
(3) Must have a minimum of geotextile and two (2) inches in gravel base or a minimum of four (4) inches in gravel base to allow for proper drainage and leveling;
(4) All cold joints must be keyed or pinned with a minimum of one-half (1/2) inch dowel bars which are thirty (30) inches long and spaced twenty-four (24) inches apart.
(c) If the streets within a subdivision are asphalted, the streets must meet the following specifications:
(1) Must be twenty (20) feet wide and the depth must be in accordance with the standards of the West Virginia Flexible Pavement Council.
(2) Must have a minimum of geotextile to allow for proper drainage.
(d) For purposes of this Article, a “subdivision” shall be defined as any tract or parcel of land which has been divided into lots according to a plat or plan of subdivision for the purpose of selling or offering the lots for sale. (Ord. 2003-04. Passed 10-2-06.)
