105.28  CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS.
   (a)   Reporting Periods.  Candidates, political committees, and individuals who spend money to support a candidate or group are required to file reports detailing their financial activity with the city clerk or recorder's office. The campaign finance statement is used for campaign finance reporting. Depending on the type of activity, candidates or committees may use the long form (F-7) or the short form (F-7A). Those who hold fundraisers, or who make or receive loans or in-kind contributions must use the long form. Reports must be filed according to the following timelines:
      (1)    Pre election 10-17 days before election
      (2)    Post-election 25-31 days after election
A campaign account cannot be closed unless it has a zero balance and all loans and bills are paid.
