All officers serve two-year terms in the Town of Eleanor if holding biennial elections, and four-year terms in the Town of Eleanor if holding quadrennial elections. Terms may be increased from two to four years by approval by a majority of votes cast in a regularly scheduled election of the Town of Eleanor. The officers may be elected to the longer terms at the same election in which the amendment or proposition for four years terms is passed, providing the ballot labels for the officers so indicate.
