In the event the owner or occupant of the premises does not request a hearing, as hereinabove provided, it shall be his duty to comply with the provisions of the notice given him and to abate such nuisance within ten (10) days after the date of the receipt of such notice. The Health and Safety Committee will re-evaluate the abatement at the end of the ten (10) day period and may recommend an extension of time to the Mayor if the abatement has started but not complete.
