§ 6.25 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES.
   (A)   In the event of a major disaster, the following shall apply: if the disaster is of a nature too large for the city’s resources to effectively handle, the Mayor may call on the following agencies for support:
      (1)   The County Sheriff’s Office;
      (2)   State Highway Patrol;
      (3)   The County Civil Defense;
      (4)   Area Fire Departments; and
      (5)   State National Guard.
   (B)   It shall be the duty of the Chief of E.P.D. or Chief of E.V.F.D. to determine who to call for assistance. When necessary, with advisement from the Mayor, they may call on the County Civil Defense for assistance. It is the duty of the Fire Department to determine which streets are to be sealed off, that an area may be isolated with barricades furnished by the Street Department. Barricades will be manned by volunteers when necessary, under the direction of the Chief of Police, to keep out sightseers.
