(A) (1) Golf carts shall not operate on a city street which is a primary road extension through the city, but are allowed to cross a primary road extension.
(2) Primary road extensions, for purposes of this section, where golf carts shall not operate, include:
(a) South First Street;
(b) North First Street;
(c) West LeClaire Road;
(d) East LeClaire Road;
(e) North Buttermilk Road;
(f) South Buttermilk Road;
(g) North Scott Park Road;
(h) South Scott Park Road;
(i) West Blackhawk Trail;
(j) East Blackhawk Trail;
(k) Slopertown Road;
(l) West Lincoln Road;
(m) East Lincoln Road;
(n) Hillandale Road; and
(o) South Cody Road.
(B) Golf carts shall not operate on any city streets or highway within the city limits, with a speed limit greater than 30 mph.
(C) Golf carts shall not operate on any recreational, bike or walking trail.
(D) Golf carts shall not operate upon sidewalks.
(E) Golf carts shall not be operated upon that portion of a street right-of-way between the curb or edge of street paving and the sidewalk referred to as the “parking”.
(F) Golf carts shall not be operated upon any city parks and other land owned by the city except in areas where regular vehicle traffic is allowed.
(G) Golf carts may be given special exemptions by the Chief of Police, or authorized designee, for certain special events.
(H) Golf carts may be operated on private property with express consent of the owner.
