The discharge of snow and ice on to public streets is prohibited at any time. It is the responsibility of the abutting property owner to store any snow and/or ice removed on his or her own property. Any violation of this section shall be subject to a fine of $50 for the first offense, $100 for the second offense and $200 for the third and subsequent offenses. For purposes of calculating the number of offenses, this means during one snow season October 1 to May 1. Each snow season starts the offense cycle over. This prohibition shall not apply to commercial properties located in the boundaries of § 6.05 of this chapter.
