The conviction of any licensee or permittee for a violation of any of the provisions of §§ 1.00 to 6.00, inclusive, or § 19.00 of this chapter shall, subject to § 26.03 of this chapter, be grounds for the suspension or revocation of the license or permit by the Department or the city. However, if any licensee or permittee is convicted of any violation of Iowa Code § 123.49(2)(a), (d) or (e), or if any permittee is convicted of a violation of Iowa Code § 123.49(2)(a), the license or permit shall be revoked and shall immediately be surrendered by the holder, and the bond of the license or permit holder shall be forfeited to the Department.
