§ 15.05 BUILDING PERMIT FEES.
   The following fees are determined for a building permit, based on the valuation. The Building Inspector shall have the right to verify or correct the estimated cost of any building, structure, alteration or addition.
   (A)   Residential. The valuation of a residential building will be based on cost per square foot.
 
Basements, decks, sun rooms and garages

   (B)   Commercial/industrial. The fees will be based on valuation of the project that will be obtained from the contractor’s cost to complete the work.
   (C)   Plan checking fees.
      (1)   The plan checking fee of 65% of the valuation fee of the building when completed could be applied if required by the Building Inspector.
      (2)   In addition to the building permit fee, a permit fee is required for all subcontractors:
         (a)   Plumbing;
         (b)   Electrical;
         (c)   Heating and air conditioning;
         (d)   Other fees added to the building permit when applicable;
         (e)   Sewer connection: Title C, Chapter 2, § 7.00;
         (f)   Water connection: Res. 23-77W and 165-92W; and
         (g)   Electrical: Res. 184-E.
   (D)   Re-roof or residing of existing building. The following permit fee schedule shall apply to any residential structure.

   (F)   Work commencing before permit issuance. Any person who commences work requiring a permit on a building, structure, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to a fee in addition to the normal permit fee. Such fee shall be equal to twice the normal permit fee, but shall be no less than $25 or more than $100.
   (G)   Unsatisfactory and/or re-inspection. If the work does not pass inspection, the permit holder shall be notified in writing or in person. The work shall be corrected and re-inspected. If extra inspection or additional trips for inspections are necessary due to inaccurate information or faulty construction, $39.60 shall be made and collected for each extra inspection or re-inspection.
