Applications for commercial or industrial building permits shall indicate the estimated total valuation (costs of construction, including labor) of the proposed work, including framing, finish work, painting, roofing, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire extinguishing systems and any other permanent equipment. The estimated total valuation is then set to the building permit fee schedule. Commercial and industrial re-roofing permits are based on valuation.
