§ 4.00 SPECIFIC TECHNICAL CODES ADOPTED.

§ 4.01.   The following codes are hereby adopted in full except for such portions as may hereinafter be deleted, modified or amended and all subsequent supplements to the below mentioned international codes as published:

   (A)   2015 International Building Code;

   (B)   2015 International Residential Code;

   (C)   2015 International Property Maintenance Code;

   (D)   2015 Uniform Plumbing Code;

   (E)   2014 National Electric Code;

   (F)   2015 International Mechanical Code;

   (G)   2015 International Energy Conservation Code;

   (H)   2015 International Existing Building Code;

   (I)   2015 Swimming Pool and Spa Code; and

   (J)   2015 International Fire Code.

§ 4.02.   An official copy of the above codes are on file in the office of the City Clerk for inspection.

§ 4.03.   To establish flood hazard areas, the City Council has adopted a flood hazard map and supporting data. This flood hazard map includes areas of special flood hazards as identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency on FIRM Map #190574 for the city, dated September 1, 1991. The adopted flood hazard map and supporting data are hereby set forth in Title D, Chapter 3.

§ 4.04.   If any conflict exists between the adopted international codes, uniform codes and other city ordinances, the more restrictive code requirement applies.

§ 4.05.   This code adoption shall take effect on April 1, 2017. The city retains the right to prosecute code violations under previous codes. Remodeling or reconstruction of buildings shall comply with the codes as prescribed therein.
