§ 9.00 CONTAINERS.
   Each owner, tenant, housekeeper or other person, firm or corporation occupying any room dwelling, house, apartment, institution, commercial establishment or any other building or portion hereof, and producing or responsible for garbage, rubbish, recyclable material, mixed refuse, ashes, yard waste or building debris which is intended to be collected by city waste collectors shall provide a sufficient number of containers of the types as specified herein to hold garbage, rubbish, mixed refuse, ashes or building debris accumulating therein between collection periods. Any container that does not conform to the following specifications or that may have ragged or sharp edges or any other defect liable to hamper or injure the person collecting the contents thereof must be promptly replaced upon receipt of notice to that effect from the Street Superintendent to the responsible person or agent. If the non-conforming or defective container is not replaced within ten days after notice is served, such non-conforming or defective container shall be considered rubbish and shall be collected and disposed of by the Department. Containers shall meet the specifications in the section below.
