1187.14 GARAGE SALES.
   (a)   Garage sales shall mean temporary sales of personal property on residents premises and shall include, but shall not be limited to, yard sales, patio sales, basement sales, porch sales, driveway sales, and the like.
   (b)   No signs advertising or announcing a garage sale shall be placed on utility poles.
   (c)   Any such sign shall not exceed twenty-four (24) inches in either dimension.
   (d)   No such sign shall be posted more than twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the beginning of such sale.
   (e)   No such sale shall continue for more than three (3) consecutive calendar days.
   (f)   The person or persons conducting such sale shall remove each sign within twenty- four (24) hours after the conclusion of the sale.
   (g)   No such sign shall be placed without the approval of the petitioner of the property upon which it is placed. Such owner shall have authority to grant permission to his or her lot or lots and also to the space between the sidewalk and the street in front of his or her lot or lots.
