1183.14 PARKING SPACE REQUIREMENTS.
   For the purpose of this Ordinance the following parking space requirements shall apply:
TYPE OF USE
PARKING SPACE REQUIRED
(a)   Residential:
 
   (1)    Single-family or two-family dwelling
Two (2) for each unit
   (2)    Apartment hotels, apartments, or multi-family dwellings.
Two (2) for each unit.
   (3)    Boarding houses, rooming houses, which have sleeping rooms.              
One (1) for each sleeping room or two (2) for each permanent occupant.
(b)   Commercial:
   (1)    Automobile service stations which also provide repair.
One (1) for each two (2) gasoline pumps, two (2) for each service bay.
   (2)    Hotels, motels.
One (1) per each sleeping room plus one (1) space for each two (2) employees.
   (3)   Funeral parlors, mortuaries, and similar type uses.
One for each fifty (50) square feet of floor area in slumber rooms, parlors, or service rooms, or one (1) for each room used as a chapel, slumber, or parlor room, whichever is greater.
(c)   Recreational or Entertainment:
   (1)   Dining rooms, restaurants, taverns, night clubs, etc.
One (1) for each 200 square feet of floor area.
   (2)   Bowling alleys.
Four (4) for each alley or lane plus one (1) additional space for each 100 square feet of the area used for restaurant, cocktail lounge, or similar use.
   (3)    Dance Floors, skating rinks.
One (1)for each 100 square feet of floor area used for the activity.
   (4)   Outdoor swimming pools, public or community or club.
One (1) for each five (5) persons capacity plus one (1) for each four (4) seats or one for each thirty (30) square feet floor area used for seating purposes, whichever is greater.
   (5)   Auditoriums, sport arenas, theaters, and similar uses
One (1) for each five (5) seats.
   (6)   Retail stores.
One (1) for each 250 square feet of floor area.
   (7)    Banks, financial institutions and similar uses.
One (1)for each 200 square feet of floor area.
   (8)    Offices, public or professional administration or service buildings.
One (1) for each 400 square feet of floor area.
   (9)    All other types of business or commercial uses permitted in any commercial district.
One (1) for each 300 square feet of floor area.
(d)    Institutional:
   (1)    Churches and other places of religious assembly.
One (1) for each five (5) seats.
   (2)    Hospitals.
One (1) for each three (3) beds.
   (3)    Sanitariums, homes for the aged, nursing homes, children homes, asylums, and similar uses
One (1)for each three (3) beds for the first 100 beds, and one (1) space for each three (3) beds in excess of 100.
   (4)    Medical and dental clinics.
One (1) for every 300 square feet floor area of examination treating room office, and waiting rooms.
   (5)    Libraries, museums, and art galleries.
One (1) for each 250 square feet of floor area.
(e)   Schools (Public, Parochial, or Private):
   (1)    Elementary and senior high schools.
Two (2) for each classroom and one (1) for every eight (8) seats in auditoriums or assembly halls.
   (2)    High schools.
One (1) for every ten (10) students and one (1) for each teacher and employee.
   (3)    Business, technical, and trade schools.
One (1) for each two (2) students.
   (4)   Colleges, universities.
One (1) for each four (4) students.
   (5)   Kindergartens, child care centers, nursery schools, and similar uses.
Two (2) for each classroom, but not less than six (6) for the building.
(f)   Industrial:
   (1)    All types of manufacturing storage, and wholesale uses permitted in any industrial district.
One (1) for every two (2) employees (on the largest shift for which the building is designed), plus one (1) for each motor vehicle used in the business.
   (2)    Cartage, express, parcel delivery and freight terminals.
One (1) for every two (2) employees (on the largest shift for which the building is designed) and one (1) for each motor vehicle maintained on the premises.
