The Town Board of Trustees and all municipal boards, commissions, and other agencies of the town shall be guided by and give consideration to the general policy and pattern of development set out in the comprehensive plan prior to the authorization, construction, alteration, or abandonment of any public installation required or necessitated in the interest of the physical development of the town and its jurisdictional area.
