§ 97.30 TREE FUND ADMINISTRATION.
   There is hereby established a Tree Fund, dedicated to the replacement and preservation of trees within the town, to be administered by the Parks and Recreation Department and used primarily for public spaces. This fund shall consist of Memorial Donations of money or trees by the public along with a memorial tag to be placed at the tree site and also any fines imposed by the violation of any part of this subchapter. The memorial trees shall be planted in any park or public as determined by the best placement that will follow the tree program and the species shall be determined by and maintained by the Parks Department and the Town Forester. The cost of one memorial tree is $300 and includes the planting and plaque. A yearly memorial service shall be held as part of the town Arbor Day celebration to acknowledge the planting of the current year's memorial trees. Fines received from violations of this subchapter shall be used to replace and maintain current trees in accordance with the town tree program.
