§ 97.24  TREE PLANTING, MAINTENANCE, AND REMOVAL.
   (A)   The town building and grounds and parks departments shall be responsible for implementing and maintaining a list of desirable trees for planting along streets in accordance with the three species size classes as defined by the National Arborist Association. The Town Forester shall be responsible for maintaining and providing public access to this list.
   (B)   The spacing of street trees shall be in accordance with the three species size classes as defined by the National Arborist Association. The exception to this shall be in special plantings designed or approved by a landscape architect.
   (C)   No street trees other than those species listed herein as small trees may be planted under or within ten lateral feet of any overhead utility wire, or over or within five lateral feet of any underground water line, sewer line, transmission line or other utility.
   (D)   The distance trees may be planted from curbs or curblines and sidewalks shall be in accordance with the three species size classes as defined by the National Arborist Association and no trees may be planted closer to any curb or sidewalk than the following: small trees, two feet; medium trees, three feet; and large trees, four feet.
