Upon receipt of a claim submitted upon oath to the fiscal body Town Council after the claim has been reviewed and allowed by the Town Marshal and signed by the Marshal, the Town Council shall approve the claim, provided, however, that the funds shall be used only to pay for the continuing law enforcement education of the members of the Town Marshal's Department and equipment and supplies for law enforcement purposes in accordance with IC 5-2-8-2 and IC 5-2-8-6.
