No applicant for employment as a police officer of the City who has not successfully completed the basic training course described in KRS 15.440, shall be employed as a police officer without a written agreement by the applicant (Appendix A) that, in the event of any termination of employment within the first three (3) years, the applicant shall reimburse the city for all costs and expenses incurred for his participation in the basic training course. This shall include, without limitation, all salary and benefits paid to or for the applicant. Repayment shall be in accordance with the following schedule:
(A) Termination within one (1) year 100%
of employment
(B) Termination between one (1) 75%
and two (2) years of employment
(C) Termination between two (2) 50%
and three (3) years of employment
