ORDINANCE N0. 2002-04-04

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWOOD, IN KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWOOD, KENTUCKY.

      WHEREAS, Burlington Publishing Systems of Florence, Kentucky, has completed the 2001 S-8 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewood, which supplement contains all ordinances of a general nature enacted since the prior supplement to the Code of Ordinances; and

      WHEREAS, said Burlington Publishing Systems has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances which are based on or make references to sections of the Kentucky Code; and

      WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Edgewood to accept these updated sections in accordance with the changes of the law of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF EDGEWOOD, IN KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:

   SECTION I

   Attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference is the 2001 S-8 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewood, as prepared by Burlington Publishing Systems, which is hereby made a part of the permanent records of the City of Edgewood; and adopted by reference pursuant to KRS 83A.060(5).

   SECTION II

   The provisions of this ordinance are severable; and the invalidity of any provision of this ordinance shall not affect the validity of any other provision thereof; and such other provisions shall remain in full force and effect as long as they remain valid in the absence of those provisions determined to be invalid.

   SECTION III

   All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

   SECTION IV

   This ordinance shall be effective as soon as possible according to law.

   SECTION V

   This ordinance shall be published in summary pursuant to KRS 83A.060 (9) and shall be effective as soon as possible according to law.
