No person shall operate on any street, alley, or public way within the confines of the corporate limits of the city, any motor truck, semitrailer, trailer, mobile home, or vehicle which exceeds 11-1/2 feet in height including any part of the body or load. This does not require public authorities to provide vertical clearances to permit the operation of vehicles with the height of 11-1/2 feet.
