Any police officer who finds a juvenile violating any provision of this chapter shall obtain information from such juvenile as to his or her name, address, age, and the name of his or her parent or parents. The juvenile shall thereupon be instructed to proceed to his or her home forthwith. The information contained from the juvenile shall be forwarded to the County Juvenile Court, which shall cause a written notice to be mailed to the parent or parents of the juvenile advising of the violation of this chapter.
