501.14 CREDIT UPON FINES FOR JAIL SENTENCE.
   Where a fine may be imposed in whole or in part in punishment of a violation of an ordinance and the judge or magistrate has authority to order that the defendant stand committed to the jail of the county or municipal corporation until the fine is paid, the court may order that such person stand committed to such jail or workhouse until such fine is paid or secured to be paid or is otherwise legally discharged. Persons so imprisoned shall receive credit upon such fine at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per day. (Ord. 248. Passed 4-13-70.)
