(a) Any person who violates any provision of this Chapter shall upon conviction be subject to a forfeiture as prescribed in Section 1-1-6 of this Code of Ordinances, together with costs of prosecution. Each day of violation shall constitute a separate and distinct offense. The Village of Edgar may also seek injunctive relief. In addition to forfeiture and injunctive remedies, the Village, or its agent, may in the event of noncompliance remove refuse from the parcel pursuant to Village ordinances, at the owner's expense, and impose a special charge for such work pursuant to Sec. 66.0627, Wis. Stats.
(b) Nothing is this Chapter shall be construed as limiting, impairing, altering or extending the rights and remedies of persons in the relationship of owner and tenant that exists under applicable law, nor shall this Chapter be construed to limit the authority of the Village of Edgar and its employees and agents to perform housing inspections in accordance with this Code of Ordinances or enforcing any other provision of state or federal law.
