For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BURNABLE ORGANIC MATTER. Leaves, grass clippings, dried vegetation, twigs, and tree limbs not exceeding two inches in diameter.
GARBAGE. Discarded material resulting from the handling, processing, storage, preparation, serving, and consumption of food.
OPEN BURNING. The burning of any matter whereby the resultant combustion products are emitted directly to the atmosphere without passing through an adequate stack, duct, or chimney. (Permit required.)
RECREATIONAL FIRE/CAMPSITE. A fire for recreational, ceremonial or social food preparation conducted with restrictions, see § 92.36. (No permit required.)
RUBBISH. Nonputrescible solid waste such as paper, cardboard, and other matter not including garbage.
5+ ACRE BURN/SPECIAL BURN PERMIT. Open burning on lots of five acres or larger subject to the requirements listed in § 92.36. (Burning permit required.)
