As soon as possible after their appointment and at the time and place designated by the Safety Coordinator, the members of the Committee first appointed shall meet and organize.
(A) The Safety Coordinator shall be the chairman and the Deputy Safety Coordinator shall serve as the vice-chairman. From among the members, the committee shall adopt rules and procedures in accordance with the City Charter, City Code, state and federal law and subject to City Council approval.
(B) The Deputy Safety Coordinator shall be responsible for recording and maintaining copies of minutes for all meetings showing the vote of each member on all matters. The Safety Coordinator shall be responsible for conducting all correspondence of the committee, supervising all clerical work of the committee, and maintaining files, reports, recommendations and actions of the committee.
(C) The committee shall adopt rules for transaction of its business which are in keeping with the provisions of this article. The committee shall establish a regular meeting schedule and shall meet frequently enough (minimum of at least monthly) so that it can handle the duties prescribed by this article.
