A. City Authority: All control, jurisdiction, management, and operation of all facilities of the water system of the city shall be vested in the city as administered by the city council, and in the personnel empowered by such council, and by this code. To perform such functions, such personnel are empowered to enter upon, over, across or into all property whereon or wherein such facilities are located, whether such property be public or private.
B. Prohibited Acts: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to interfere in any way with the council members or any person empowered by them to maintain and operate the water system of the city, or to tamper with, or turn on or off, any valve, connection, main, pump, lateral or any other device, equipment, machinery, or thing belonging to, connected with, or constituting a part of said water system.
C. Penalty: Any violation of this section shall be punishable as a misdemeanor, and in addition to such punishment, the city council is hereby empowered to suspend all water service, either temporarily or permanently, to such offender. (2015 Code)
